Troy Dale Nutt age 84 became a non-resident of this planet March 18, 2022 and moved to Paradise to be with his Savior Jesus Christ after a short battle with lung cancer. Born the 10th of 11 children to Fonza Edward and Eva Mae Jones Nutt on September 20, 1937 at Fairview, AR. He is preceded in death by his brothers Calvin Lee Nutt, James Howard Nutt, Bernard Hubert Nutt and Huston Edward Nutt and his sisters Dorothy Mae Cunningham, Lela Pauline Terrel, Ella Alene Jones and Thelma Louada Daniels.
His survivors include his wife of 61 years Sue Ellen Heard; daughter, Robin Eve Rushing; brother, Vance Ovie Nutt; sister, Evie Corine Gates; brother-in-law, John Wayne Heard and numerous nieces and nephews.
Troy was full of wit, "old" sayings and slow to anger although he knocked out a high school FFA classmate for messing with his project, loved to cut and bale hay and most of all visit with his family, friends and neighbors.
By profession he was a Turkey Hunter. He loved to teach his skills to anyone who would listen. His followers included his buddy Maverick and his nephews Bryan, Fletcher and Landon.
He made his living as a Brick mason and his artwork can be found all over Hot Spring, Grant, Saline and Garland Counties even out of state.
Troy's service will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 with Brother Ron Parish and Rev. Tammy Harrell officiating at Regency Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Lono Cemetery. Visitation/fellowship will be at Brush Creek Missionary Church's fellowship hall after graveside service. Pallbearers will be Cecil Nutt, Ronnie Nutt, Maverick Burlison, Joe Gage, Mike Lobbs, Mike Reeves, Joe Fite and Steve Heard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Hall, Kim Rushing, Bob Welch, Troy David Jones, Danny Mackey, Bobby Mackey, Herman Hixon and Harold Kenney.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CARTI.
