Vickie
Ballard
May 17, 1961 — Feb 25, 2024
Malvern
Vickie Jo Ballard, age 62, of Malvern, AR, left her earthly life on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born in Malvern, AR on May 17, 1961, the daughter of Dale Ballard and Carolyn E. Dawson. Besides her early working years at Tastee Freeze, Vickie spent 44 years working for Pactive – Evergreen (Western Foam Pac) here in Malvern.
Vickie Jo, as she was known by her friends or Aunt Vickie by her nieces and nephews, will be greatly missed. She loved to watch the biggest joy of her life, nephew Lane Ballard, play in all his sports as he was growing up. She loved going to the beach with her girls, The Octopuses and hanging out with her group of friends, Soul Sisters. She loved her nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great nieces with all her might. Vickie gave our precious Nana and Papa the best care anyone could have ever given and loved them to the moon and back. She was also the greatest big sister anyone could have ever asked for. Vickie Jo had a smile that could light up a room and also a face and glare that could shut one down when needed.
Vickie is preceded in death by her father, Dale Ballard, grandparents, Dovie and Ernest Kingery, Alice and Claud Ballard, and niece Jennifer Dawson.
Left to carry on for her, mother, Carolyn and father, Wendell Dawson; brothers, Kevin Ballard(Janette) of Malvern, Marc Dawson (Sammi) of Hot Springs, and Jack Dawson (Deena) of Indiana; nephews, (her favorite human) Lane Ballard, of Malvern, Ethan Jones (Morgan) of Russell, KS, Turner Dawson and Dylan Dawson both of Hot Springs; nieces, Mackenzie Jones (Nate) of Malvern, Lauren Dawson and Rylee Dawson both of Hot Springs; great nieces and nephews, Kamryn Elizabeth Ballard, Holland Shay Ballard, Wyatt Tucker Jones, Walker Daniel Jones, Kestyn Elizabeth-Bell Jones; special sister and brother, Tonia and Scotty Richmond of Pine Bluff; numerous friends and co-workers that she loved dearly; and her fur-babies: Little Bella, Ash, Mollie, and Tilly Jean.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 2nd, from 1-2pm at Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service starting at 2pm, with Rev. Andrew Orr officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rescue Road. (www.givebutter.com/InMemoryOfVickie or mail a check to: Rescue Road 17200 Chenal Parkway suite 300 #171 Little Rock, AR 72223)
