Virgil Robinson, 74, of Gifford unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his home on Monday evening, September 5, 2022 and has been laid to rest in Big Creek Cemetery. Virgil was born in Malvern on November 21, 1947 to Wilbur & Mary Williams Robinson.

Virgil made a profession of faith in Christ when he was 13 & had recently started attending his childhood church at Big Creek Missionary Baptist. He was raised in the Big Creek Community and attended Gifford school for 3 years & then Poyen.  He was an owner/operator long haul truck driver for most of his life.  After retiring, he became a log truck driver.  He was also a self-taught auto mechanic & carpenter.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brothers & riding four wheelers with anyone & everyone!  He spent a lot of time with his Andy's coffee crew.  He had a fun sense of humor, was a big prankster & pestered ALL the kids!  He had a warm friendly smile for people he liked and had a huge soft spot for stray cats!

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-n-law, Johnny Furr; sister-in-law, Sheila Robinson; niece, Shari Robinson.  And sadly, lost his baby brother, Alan Robinson of Magnet Cove 48 hours after his own passing.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Angela Robinson Arbuckle of Malvern and Eva Almond Bailey of Benton; one grandson, Brinley Steele of Malvern; one granddaughter, Rachel Tanner of Glen Rose; two brothers, Sherman (Sandy) & Milton Robinson both of Malvern; one sister, Linda Furr of Haskell; nephews, Jeff, Mark and Brandon Robinson all of Malvern and Drew Furr of Haskell; along with many cousins & lifelong friends that were like family.

If you knew Virgil, you know he was a simple man & wouldn't want any kind of big production or service. So, we are honoring his wishes by having a small graveside service on Saturday, September 17 at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org in his brother, Alan's honor.
