Vivian
Steele
Apr 18, 1936 — May 6, 2026
Malvern
Vivian Raye Steele, born April 18, 1936, finished her earthly race on May 6, 2026. She was born to parents Wilton Murphy Steele and Zora Faye (Arnold) Steele, the youngest of three girls (the eldest of whom died in infancy). Her youth was spent gardening, traveling, and enjoying time with her cousins.
She was a trusted employee of Malvern National Bank for many years until her retirement.
Vivian had many interests, but her true love was always for her beloved dogs. She had many throughout the years, and doted on them all.
She took great pride in her lawn and garden, spending most days of every summer working outside with her flowers.
Known affectionately as "Nana" to her nieces and nephews, she spent many years caring for the "babies".
Vivian was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Malvern, having joined on October 12, 1954. She was a regular face at church and at the ladies walking group until her health did not allow.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Martha Highsmith, and great-nephew Michael Wagnon.
She is survived by her niece Vivian Highsmith (William), nephew Thomas Highsmith (Martha), nephew William Highsmith, great-nieces Martie (Wagnon) Ryland and Kyleigh (Highsmith) Rollins and great-great nieces and nephews Sawyer, Glyn, and Saylor.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, May 11, at 11:00 AM at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with visitation from 10:30 – 11:00 AM prior to service.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her nephews and great-nephews.
Special thanks go to Encore Nursing and Rehabilitation and Gentiva Hospice for their care of Vivian in her final days.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home. You may sign the guest book at regencyfuneralhome.com.
