Walter C. Hood, age 83, of Malvern, AR, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born on May 12, 1940, in Malvern, AR, the son of Jack and Audrey Harper Hood. Walter was a member of the U.S. Army and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and then worked as a heating and air technician for many years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and training miniature horses.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, brother Troy Hood, and sister Geraldine Miller.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 42 years, Beth Hood; son, Greg Hood of Columbus, OH; step-son, Don Pence (Olivia) of Malvern; daughter, Tonya Dotson of Columbus, OH; step-daughters, Libby Slatton (Jeff) of Hot Springs and Darla Henderson of Marshall, AR; sister, Mary Faulkner of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Christopher Hood, Dustin Hudnall, Kaleb Dotson, Tad Dunn, Cody Dunn, Michael Henderson, Scott Thomas, Mitchell Osmond, Don Pence Jr., Maddie Slatton, Anna Kate Slatton, and Paisley Slatton; numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 24th from 10-11 am at Trinity Baptist Church, with the funeral services starting at 11am with Bro. Tim Carpenter officiating. Burial to follow at Big Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Eugene Harper, Ronnie Faulkner, Alex Faulkner, Randy Faulkner, Bryan Faulkner, and Matthew Faulkner.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Trinity Baptist Church.
