Wayne Ritter, age 90, passed from this life on May 26, 2025. He was born October 22, 1934 in the community of Antioch, the son of Frank and Grace Pilcher Ritter.

He was a longtime member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, serving as deacon for many years. His faith in God was the stronghold of who he was, always being thankful and grateful for his salvation. He was a meticulous cattleman being careful with all the details and duties of that business, continuously striving for a top-notch herd. In public work, he was a tool and die maker at Precision Industries. He was a kind man, and whatever imperfections he may have had didn't matter then, and matter even less now. Wayne was a model of strong will and sheer determination right up until the end of his journey here on earth. Though our line of sight has been erased, our memory of him will remain a treasure.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Frank Ritter and Grace Ritter Williams, siblings, Murl Ritter and Margie Ritter Treadway, granddaughter Krista Ritter, and son-in-law Bernie Westgate.

Survived by his wife of 72 years, Bonnie Carter Ritter; children, Bonita Ritter Westgate, Steve Ritter (Jeannette), Rebecca Ritter Dedman (John); grandchildren, Adam Ritter (Shelley), Holly Taylor (Wes), Seth Ritter (Lesha), Rachel Dedman Shores (Damien), Russell Dedman (Dawnna), Rosemary Dedman (Christopher Sigley) Shawn and Jay Harris; great grandchildren, Cooper and Eli Taylor, Brooks Ritter, Larson, Will, Carth and Apollo Ritter and Ronnie and River Dedman; siblings, Harry Ritter, Mary McDaniel, Joyce Smith and Tony Ritter (Judy); and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th from 5-7pm at Regency Funeral Home.

The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 10am at Regency Funeral Home at Regency Funeral Home, with Bro. Alan Cansler and Rev. Leonard Hodges officiating. Burial to follow at Upper Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Ritter, Reggie Ritter, Keith Ritter, Kaizer Calhoun, E.J. Daniels, and Darren Bunn.

Honorary Pallbearers Fenton Looper, Hubert Hughes, Gerald Bunn, Curtis Breshears, and Arnold Williams.
