Wilborn Leon Davis, a beloved figure in our family, passed away at the age of 90 on August 1st. He was born November 27, 1933, in Amity, AR, the son of Olice "O.A." and Velma Garner Davis. Wilborn lived a rich and fulfilling life, leaving an incredible mark on those who knew him.

Wilborn's work ethic was unwavering. He was a hands-on man, a mechanic with grease-stained hands and a heart full of curiosity. His garage was a haven for broken engines, rusty tools, and dreams waiting to be resurrected. Whether it was an old pickup truck or vintage tractor, he could coax life back into anything mechanical. His love for tinkering extended beyond cars; he could mend anything with gears and bolts, even the human spirit.

Beyond work, Wilborn reveled in his hobbies. When the seasons turned, he would disappear into the woods, rifle in hand, seeking solace in the quiet pursuit of deer. Fishing was another passion; he'd sit by the bank sharing stories with his family and teaching his grandchildren the art of patience.

But above all, Wilborn cherished his family. His wife, Gail, was his anchor – a love story spanning six decades. Their laughter echoed through their cozy home, and their bond was unbreakable. Together they raised four children, who in turn blessed them with grandchildren. Wilborn's eyes would light up when the little ones visited, and he'd regale them in tales of adventure and mischief from his own youth.

Our family mourns the loss of this remarkable man. His legacy lives on in the hum of a perfectly tuned engine, and the warmth of family gatherings. He touched our lives with kindness, resilience, and a twinkle in his eye. He left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we will miss him dearly.

Wilborn is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith Gail Davis; brothers, Calvin Davis, L.A. Davis, Curtis Davis and Billy Davis, daughters, Cynthia Reynolds and Carolyn Ann Davis, sons, Edwin Davis and Eugene Davis, great grandchild Keegan Amos.

Left to cherish his memory, son Christopher Davis (Jessica) of Beebe; grandchildren Branden, Brent, Ariel, Aaron, Lesley, Jennifer, Rachel, Shawnalisa, Brad, Travis and Melanie; great grandchildren Johnathan, Samuel, Ethan, Keith, Lissy, Tristin, Alex, Allexis, Lucas, Jordan, Kiya, Bliss, Ella Grace, Leland, Athena, and Alex.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024, from 9-10 am, at Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service starting at 10 am, with Kevin Hunt officiating.

Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
