William (Bill) O. Gillum age 91, of Donaldson, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026. He was born March 7, 1935 in Donaldson to Roscoe and Pauline West Gillum. He was raised by Bob and Pauline Daily. Bill worked in the oil field industry for many years. He was a longtime member of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church. Bill loved his family and enjoyed watching his children playing sports while they were growing up. He also enjoyed gardening and working on projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Gillum and Pauline Daily; his stepdad, Bob Daily; three sisters, Loria Jane Gillum, Sarah Lea Connell, and Virginia Daily; and one brother, Jerry Daily.
Survivors are his wife of seventy-two years, Devonne (Clifton) Gillum; two sons, Buddy Gillum and wife, Kim; Jim Gillum and wife, Debbie; two daughters, Linda Thompson, Laura Burnett and her husband, Doug; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Eldridge, Nick Gillum, Seth Carpenter, Lyndsay Gillum, Kristian Miller, Matthew Gillum, Erin Wisniewski, Sara Gibson, Megan Lewallen, Jenni Thompson, Caleb Gillum and Caroline Davis; twenty-one great grandchildren; a soon to be expected great-great grandchild; one brother, Roger Gillum; one sister-in-law, Janet Daily; two brothers-in-law, Lowell Connell and Bobby (Sandy) Clifton.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 31st at Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with his grandson, Matthew Gillum and Bro. Keith Rowton officiating. Burial will follow at Ouachita Cemetery.
Bill's family would like to extend a special thank you to Michelle Chidester for the excellent care given to Bill during his illness.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Gillum, Caleb Gillum, Paul Miller, Jon Wisniewski, Patrick Lewallen and Marc Davis.
