John H. Kimbrell, Jr., age 67, of Malvern passed away April 23, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born August 28, 1941 in Desha County the son of John H., Sr. and Maybelle (Bates) Kimbrell. He was a machinist at AT&T and a member of Cooper Assembly of God Church. John loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and reading.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and two nephews.
Survivors are his wife, Ruby (Reeves) Kimbrell; son, John H. Kimbrell, III and wife, Edie; daughter, Tonya Kimbrell, all of Malvern; brothers, Raymond Dewayne and Phyllis Kimbrell of Bigelow; Ronald Gene Kimbrell of Malvern; sisters, Rosa Troy of Hot Springs, Mildred Ann Dorminey of Benton, Ava Gail Steed of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, April 25th at 3:00 p.m. in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Ohms officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Big Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Thomason, Robert Ireton, Carol Wetherington, Don Robbins, Jessie Cranford, Clifford Cranford, Morris Cantrell, and V.J. Cranford. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Hester, Jonathan Williams, Jason Riggan, Spencer Harkins, and Mark Null.
